“Kangana Ranaut Slams Oscars For Picking Anti-India Films”

Since Laapataa Ladies by Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan didn’t make the Oscars cut, Kangana Ranaut shared her strong views about the Oscars in an interview.

She stated that the Oscars often favor films that portray India negatively. Kangana said, “Films that show India as a ‘s**thole’ get picked. For example, Slumdog Millionaire or similar films that highlight India’s struggles.”

Kangana mentioned her upcoming movie Emergency wouldn’t fit this agenda. She added, “The West is ready to see a strong India, and Emergency is brilliantly made, on par with international films. But geopolitics plays a role in awards, and as a nationalist, I don’t rely on such platforms.”
