“Vicky Fans Defend Him Over Nagpur Violence Claims”

After riots broke out in Nagpur over protests against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb, a curfew was put in place. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the situation was under control. He also mentioned that the movie Chhaava may have stirred emotions against Aurangzeb.

Soon after, social media users blamed the film’s team, including actor Vicky Kaushal and director Laxman Utekar, for spreading hate. Many accused them of encouraging hatred towards Aurangzeb and minorities.

However, Vicky Kaushal’s fans stood up for him. They said he is just an actor doing his job and should not be blamed for the violence. One fan tweeted, “The anger at #Chhaava is wrong! Vicky Kaushal’s role as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is brilliant. Don’t blame actors for doing their job well. Let’s enjoy art, not attack it.”

Another fan said, “It’s sad what happened in Nagpur, but blaming Vicky is unfair. He just played a historical figure in a film that was approved before release. The real issue is how history is discussed, not about blaming an actor.”

Some fans were more direct. One user wrote, “Those blaming Vicky Kaushal for Nagpur violence are clearly operating on zero brain cells.” Many others reminded people that movies are just art and not the reason for riots.

Another tweet read, “Blaming #Chhaava or Vicky Kaushal for the riots is wrong. The rioters are the ones responsible, not the filmmakers.”
