“Vikas backs Gaurav In MasterChef Dessert Row”

Actor Gaurav Khanna, a finalist on Celebrity MasterChef, was recently trolled after a promo from the April 7 episode showed him making a dessert that looked similar to one by Swiss chef Dives Josh. Many accused Gaurav of copying the “Honey Dripping Dessert” seen in Dives’ video.

After the promo aired, fans began commenting online. Dives Josh even shared the promo with a sarcastic message and reposted his original dessert video. But chef Vikas Khanna, who was very impressed with Gaurav’s dish on the show, came forward to support him.

Vikas shared a clip from the episode and praised Gaurav’s creativity. He wrote, “Very rarely you witness culinary greatness like this. This year’s MasterChef set a new benchmark.” He also replied to trolls by saying that dripping meringue cones have been made for years and what made Gaurav’s dish special was its unique taste and presentation.

Gaurav reshared Vikas’s post on his Instagram. He is competing in the finals with Faisal Shaikh, Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, and Tejasswi Prakash. The show airs Monday to Friday at 8 PM on Sony TV and is also available on SonyLIV.
