Jason Momoa, known for his role as Aquaman, is joining the DC Universe again, this time as the anti-hero Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The film, starring Milly Alcock as Supergirl, will focus on Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin. Momoa confirmed his role through an Instagram post, saying Lobo was always his favorite character.
Lobo, a violent and irreverent bounty hunter from the alien planet Czarnia, is known for his over-the-top persona. The film will also star Matthias Schoenaerts as villain Krem and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is the second movie in the rebooted DC Universe by James Gunn and Peter Safran, following Superman.
