Netflix released yet another movie today titled Chippa and it is a break from the action and thrill content you are watching lately. If you are Kolkata, you will love the journey of Chippa along the lonely streets at night in Kolkata. The movie is about a boy Chippa played by Sunny Pawar who goes out on the night of his 10th birthday in search of the truth and the way to his dreams.
Chippa’s father left him when he was young with a letter in Urdu for him. Armed with the letter, Chippa walks out on the streets of Kolkata in search of his father holding a letter which he cannot read. The Kolkata of Rahman is not being about the beauty of the place but rather the journey of people who come to the place as migrants and speak in mix of all languages. It is the story of the journey of these people who make the city run and while they sleep at night.
