Vicky Kaushal Unrecognizable as Parashurama in ‘Mahavatar’!”

Actor Vicky Kaushal has revealed his powerful look in the upcoming mythological film, Mahavatar. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film will feature Vicky as Chiranjeevi Parashurama, the “eternal warrior of dharma”. In the first look shared by the makers on X (formerly Twitter), Vicky is seen sporting long hair, a beard, and holding a battle axe in a fierce stance, wearing only a dhoti.

The film is set to release in theatres on Christmas 2026. This role will see Vicky in a completely new avatar, highlighting his transformation into the iconic figure of Parashurama.

In addition to Mahavatar, Vicky has some exciting projects lined up. He stars in Chhaava, a period drama set for release on December 6, 2024, where he plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Vicky is also gearing up for Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, releasing Christmas 2025.
