Neha Sargam became an overnight sensation as Saloni Bhabhi in Mirzapur 3. While grateful for the love, she wonders why people forget her 13-year career.
Though her character’s journey ended, Neha made a strong impact alongside stars like Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal.
“I was in Mirzapur 2, but Mirzapur 3 brought unexpected recognition,” she said. “People forget I’ve been working for 13 years. I’ve worked hard for every role, and now, even beyond Mirzapur, people recognize me.”
She values the love but knows fame is fleeting. “I only choose roles that feel right for me,” she added. Neha has starred in Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Ramayan, and Doli Armaanon Ki.
Neha is also passionate about theatre, which helped her grow as an actor.
“I had severe stage fear as a child, but theatre helped me overcome it. Now, I channel nervousness into energy,” she shared. Recently, she performed in Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical in Delhi.
“Theatre makes you present. On stage, mistakes happen, but you move on instantly. That’s my biggest learning,” she said. Some fans even travel across cities to watch her perform, which she finds humbling.
“Theatre is different from TV and films. On stage, you engage directly with the audience, while the camera frames you in TV and movies,” she explained.
Neha is focused on Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical, directed by Feroz Abbas Khan.
“I was excited about our Delhi season. Our past shows there have been amazing,” she said. She plays Anarkali in the production.
