Arjun Kapoor, who made his Bollywood debut alongside Parineeti Chopra in Ishaqzaade (2012), initially wasn’t in favor of her casting. In an interview, Arjun shared that when they first met, Parineeti responded to his jokes with “LOL” instead of laughing, which annoyed him. He felt that she wasn’t serious about the project and worried that it would affect his career.
However, his opinion changed once he saw Parineeti’s dedication and passion on set. He was impressed by her energy and realized she was perfect for the role. Ishaqzaade became a massive hit, with both Arjun and Parineeti receiving recognition for their performances. Parineeti even won a National Film Award for her role.
