A month after facing backlash, Udit attended the trailer launch of Pintu Ki Pappi alongside choreographer-actor Ganesh Acharya. On stage, he laughed and said, “It’s a beautiful title, Pintu Ki Pappi. Udit ki pappi nahi hai na?” His comment made the audience burst into laughter.

He also mentioned that the video in question was actually two years old and from an event in Australia.

What Happened in the Viral Video?

In the viral clip, Udit was seen singing Tip Tip Barsa Paani while interacting with female fans. One fan approached him for a selfie and kissed him on the cheek. Udit then leaned in and kissed her on the lips, sparking controversy.

Many on social media criticized him, calling his actions inappropriate and demanding an apology. However, some defended him, saying the fan initiated the kiss.

Udit Narayan’s Response

Speaking about the issue, Udit said, “Fans are crazy about their idols. We are decent people. Some fans express love this way. People should not take it too seriously.”

Despite the controversy, Udit seems to be taking everything lightly and focusing on his music.
