Mushtaq Khan, known for his roles in Stree 2 and Welcome, faced a horrifying ordeal when he was kidnapped near the Delhi-Meerut highway. The actor was lured under the pretext of attending an event with flight tickets and advance payment.
The kidnappers demanded ₹1 crore ransom and withdrew ₹2 lakh from his and his son’s accounts. Mushtaq managed to escape early morning when he heard the sound of Azaan, ran to a nearby mosque, and sought help.
His business partner, Shivam, has filed an FIR in Bijnor, providing evidence like tickets, bank records, and CCTV footage. This case has raised alarms as comedian Sunil Pal recently faced a similar incident. Shivam called for increased safety measures, saying it’s shocking that public figures are being targeted.
Mushtaq Khan is safe now and is expected to address the media soon.
