“Prosenjit Chatterjee Opens Up On Khakee: The Bengal Chapter”

The much-awaited series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is set to release soon, starring Bengali cinema legend Prosenjit Chatterjee. At the trailer launch event in Kolkata, Prosenjit shared that he never discusses money before signing a project. He said, “If a character doesn’t let me sleep, I call the director and ask for the dates. I never talk about money, and my producer friends can confirm this.”

With over four decades in the Bengali film industry, Prosenjit revealed that his role in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter was challenging and exciting. He immediately reached out to the show’s creator, Neeraj Pandey, to be a part of it.

Directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, the series is a follow-up to Khakee: The Bihar Chapter (2022). Set in Kolkata in the early 2000s, it follows an IPS officer fighting against crime, corruption, and political influence.

The series features an ensemble Bengali cast, including Jeet, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, and Saswata Chatterjee, making it the first Hindi drama with a fully Bengali cast.
