Bollywood’s popular influencer Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, and seven others have been booked by Jammu & Kashmir Police for allegedly drinking alcohol near the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. News agency ANI shared on Monday that the police have filed an FIR against Orry and his friends for breaking the rules in this holy area.
The FIR (No. 72/25) mentions eight people, including a Russian woman named Anastasila Arzamaskina. Others booked are Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, and Shagun Kohli. The group is accused of drinking alcohol inside a hotel located in a restricted area near the shrine. This area strictly bans alcohol and non-vegetarian food as it is close to one of Hinduism’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.
Police confirmed that the group broke the District Magistrate’s orders and hurt religious sentiments. A special investigation team has been formed under the SP, Dy SP, and SHO of Katra to handle the case. Notices will soon be sent to all accused, asking them to join the investigation. Police also warned that strict action will be taken against anyone breaking such laws at religious places.
