“Kangana: No Emergency Without Anupam Kher”

Kangana Ranaut recently spoke about her Emergency co-star Anupam Kher, saying she wouldn’t have made the film without him. Kangana emphasized the importance of having Anupam in the role of Jayaprakash Narayan, calling him the “hero” of the film. She praised his honesty and on-screen presence, saying no one else could portray the character as he did.

Anupam Kher also praised Kangana, calling her one of the finest directors he’s worked with. He mentioned how Kangana’s hard work and dedication to both acting as Indira Gandhi and directing the film made it a standout project.

Emergency tells the story of India’s political crisis during the 1975–1977 Emergency period, with Anupam Kher playing Jayaprakash Narayan and Kangana portraying Indira Gandhi.
