Tech billionaire Elon Musk recently visited the White House with his son while US President Donald Trump spoke about a new executive order to cut federal jobs. This visit has shocked many, including filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who believes Musk has made Trump a puppet of capitalism.

On Friday, Hansal Mehta shared his views on X (formerly Twitter), saying that big money now controls governments. He warned people to “wake up and smell the coffee” before it’s too late.

“Elon Musk has turned a country’s president into a puppet of capitalism and money. Democracy is in danger,” Hansal wrote. He added, “When big money takes over, governments become useless. Wake up before it’s too late.”

On Tuesday, Trump and Musk held a joint press conference at the Oval Office. Trump praised Musk for leading the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce federal spending. He even said the US would go “bankrupt” without budget cuts.

During the event, Musk stood next to Trump in the Oval Office with his four-year-old son on his shoulders. This moment has sparked debate, with many questioning Musk’s growing influence on the government.
