Sonu Sood’s directorial debut, Fateh, saw a major dip in earnings on its first Monday. According to reports, the movie earned ₹85 lakh on Day 4, taking its total collection to ₹7.6 crore since its release on January 10.
The film opened with ₹2.4 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹2.1 crore on Day 2 and ₹2.25 crore on Day 3. However, its Monday earnings show a significant drop, with just 10.37% occupancy.
Fateh released alongside the big-budget action movie Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, and has been facing tough competition.
Sonu Sood shared his excitement about directing for the first time, saying he worked hard on the action scenes, spending months to perfect them. He described the journey as emotional and meaningful, highlighting the film’s focus on the fight against cybercrime.
Fateh is inspired by real-life cybercrime incidents during the Covid-19 pandemic. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah alongside Sonu Sood.
