Anil Kapoor Mourns ‘Legend’ Gene Hackman’s Death”

Actor Anil Kapoor paid tribute to Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, who passed away at the age of 95. Anil shared his feelings on his X account with a series of pictures of Gene. He wrote, “Cannot believe the world no longer has Gene Hackman in it… His effortless performances in films like The French Connection, Unforgiven, and The Firm are just a few times the world witnessed his genius. A true legend whose legacy will live on. Rest in peace.”

Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and their dog were found dead at their home in New Mexico. Authorities confirmed their deaths but said there is no sign of foul play. Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza shared that they are still investigating and waiting for a search warrant. He assured the community that there is no danger to anyone.

Gene Hackman was one of Hollywood’s greatest actors, with a career full of memorable performances. He was nominated for five Oscars and won two for The French Connection and Unforgiven. He also won two BAFTA Awards and four Golden Globes. Gene was known for his incredible acting skills, shining in movies like The French Connection II, The Firm, and The Poseidon Adventure.

His role as Harry Caul in The Conversation by Francis Ford Coppola is still celebrated as one of his best. He also impressed audiences with his performance in Downhill Racer.

Gene moved to Santa Fe in 1990 and faced health issues, including heart surgery. Despite this, he continued acting for another 14 years. Apart from acting, Gene was also a talented writer. He wrote three novels with Daniel Lenihan and another book on his own.
